The backbone of every organisation is their staff. We realise this fact and we know how important it is to have a strong backbone. Therefore, we highly value our staff and their continuity with us.

We can proudly say that the average period of time our surveyors have been with us is more than 10 years, while the longest staff has been there since the establishment of I.M.C.S.

I.M.C.S. was founded by Capt. Ravinder P.S. Ghai, who started his merchant navy carrier in 1975, by joining the training ship ‘Rajendra’ in India. After passing out in top grades from training ship, he had continued his sea carrier with M/S Scindia Steam Navigation Co., Ltd. and M/S Barber Ship Management.

He had taken up the challenge of setting up the ‘marine survey’ division of M/S Jardine Group In Thailand in 1988. Thereafter, he established I.M.C.S. in 1992.

Capt. Ravinder Ghai has since passed on the reigns to Capt. Jatinder Singh Chada, who started started sailing in 1996 and have served at various ranks on various kinds of ships. He has been at I.M.C.S. since January 2008.

Beside the Master Mariner, the backbone of I.M.C.S. is the local staff, who have an average of about 20 years working experience in this field.
